Encourage Healthy Eating Habits in Kids

It’s so easy to get hooked on junk food, how could we not? It’s convenient and comes in a crackly bag. Though making eating junk food allowable for your child from time to time, too much can be harmful to his or her overall wellbeing. Here are some ways our day care in Irvine encourages healthy eating habits to our students:

  1. Becoming a role model. The teachers at our weekend daycare in Irvine are always reminded to show youngsters that they like eating healthy snacks like apples and other fruits.
  2. Eating home-cooked meals. We show the kids under our preschool program that they can get a lot of nutrients from meals cooked in their own home, as opposed to the chicken nuggets they can get at a chain restaurant.
  3. We make healthy snacks available. Our childcare center in Irvine, California has healthy goodies on hand for cuties looking for something to munch on. We try to get junk food as far away from their hands as possible.
